The Tillandsia capitata x xerographica hybrid is a truly amazing air plant. This hybrid of the beautiful Tillandsia capitata and stately Tilandsia xerographica is one of our personal favorite air plants. These air plants will produce offsets (or "pups") more quickly than xerographicas, and will bloom an amazing and colorful flower when receiving good light and fertilization.

Care: These large air plants are heartier than most because of the xerographica, which can tolerate more sunlight. They do not need as frequent waterings and we suggest that they be dunked in water and lightly shaken to drain excess, versus weekly longer soaks (depending on their environment).

Upon receiving your air plants, soak in water for 20 - 30 minutes. Then shake off excess water and dry upside down until completely dry. Water plants once or twice a week with misting between as needed. Never leave air plants sit in water for more than an hour – they will rot!

Air plants require bright, indirect light which can be sunlight or consistent indoor lighting.

Good air circulation is important for your air plants! Do not place your air plants in soil.
