The Tillandsia aeranthos air plant has a striking set of leaves that grow upward in an almost cone like fashion. The coloring of this plant is a very healthy, clean green hue with leaves that are stiff and sharp to the touch.  This variety will bloom in wonderful fashion, showcasing flowers that are both purple and pink.

The shape of the aeranthos allows it to be used in a variety of designs.  A small vase filled with rock or sand will allow the plant to stand out and will create a wonderful focal point to any room it lives in.
